牙買加（英語(yǔ)：Jamaica），是加勒比海的其中一個(gè)島國(guó)，地處北緯17.42度至18.31度，西經(jīng)76.11度至78.22度，東隔牙買加海峽，與海地相望，北距古巴約145公里，為加勒比第三大島，領(lǐng)土面積10991平方公里。全國(guó)劃分3個(gè)郡，三郡之下又劃分為14個(gè)區(qū)，首都是金斯頓。2023年，牙買加總?cè)丝?89.9萬(wàn)。牙買加的資源主要有鋁礬土，其他豐富的資源還有銅、鐵、鉛、鋅和石膏等，森林面積26.5萬(wàn)公頃。
頻譜管理局(SMA)是牙買加負(fù)責(zé)規(guī)范無(wú)線電和電信產(chǎn)品合格評(píng)定并頒發(fā)合格證書(CoC)的國(guó)家機(jī)構(gòu)，該機(jī)構(gòu)也被稱為Spectrum頻譜管理局(The Spectrum Management Authority)，SMA是一家由牙買加政府全資擁有的有限責(zé)任公司，牙買加郵政公司和總會(huì)計(jì)師部擁有同等股份。該機(jī)構(gòu)于2000年根據(jù)《2000年電信法》成立，并于2001年4月開始運(yùn)營(yíng)。牙買加符合型式標(biāo)準(zhǔn)要求的合規(guī)性測(cè)試活動(dòng)要基于 RED 或 FCC 測(cè)試報(bào)告。申請(qǐng)型式批準(zhǔn)時(shí)，必須向 SMA 提交批準(zhǔn)證書和技術(shù)文件。根據(jù)牙買加當(dāng)?shù)胤ㄒ?guī)，還必須向 SMA提交一份正常樣本。
